How to get Chinese?

Beitragvon zzlwd » 08.06.2018, 14:11

My mother tongue is Chinese, so somewhat inconvenient to use English. So how should I create a Chinese language pack?

You can choose the english language file in the CHDK package (CHDK/LANG) for translating. Make a new file with your translation and copy this file in the folder CHDK/LANG. Now you can set your Language in the setting menu of CHDK. -> http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_User_Ma ... _.26_Fonts

Here is an old translation for chinese: -> http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Language:_TC ... D%E6%96%87)

Sorry, I went to an important exam during this time, so I didn't respond to you in time.
I tried to translate english.lng into Chinese and save it in UTF-8 encoding. But after I put it into the LANG folder and run CHDK find that it does not display properly. I realized that this should be a problem with font files, so I searched for related solutions on the web. So I found this page: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/RBF_fonts
However, the last update of rbfEditor mentioned in the article is 2008, and now it seems that it is not working properly. So is there any other software that can replace it?

Ok, you are right. You also need a chinese rbf font. There is no inbuilt chinese font in the CHDK source code. The rbf font editor you found is the only known program. This program works fine, but it is very tricky.

Maybe it is better to discuss this problem in the international CHDK forum: https://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php
